About
Also known as: Matisse
Matisse & Sadko are a pair of Russian brothers, Aleksandr and Yury Parkhomenko, who have spent the better part of a decade near the front of modern progressive house. They teamed up in 2010 after starting out solo, and got their big break with "Trio", a 2012 collaboration with Arty that pulled in classic trance touches and picked up support from Swedish House Mafia and Alesso. A track with Steve Angello, "SLVR", landed as the 100th release on his label Size Records. They are probably best known for their run of tracks with Martin Garrix, including "Dragon", "Break Through the Silence", "Together" and "Forever". Along the way they have shifted sounds a lot, from the soft piano house of "Memories" to the future bass of "Into You" and the heavier bass house leanings of "Grizzly". They also run their own label, Monomark Music, and made the official theme song for the 2016 IIHF World Championship. In 2018 they linked up with Tiësto for "Dawnbreaker".
