About
Nick Warren has spent decades shaping the sound of progressive house, and his eight mix albums for the Global Underground series are as good a place as any to hear why. The Prague set from 1997 kicked it all off, and he went on to capture live sets from Brazil, Budapest, Amsterdam, Reykjavík, Shanghai, Paris, and Lima, selling over 110,000 copies in the UK alone before the Lima release even dropped. He also co founded Way Out West with producer Jody Wisternoff, a duo whose albums like Intensify and Don't Look Now brought serious electronic craft to tracks featuring the likes of Imogen Heap and drummer Damon Reece. Beyond the studio, Warren built The Soundgarden into both a radio show and a live events brand with a particularly devoted following in South America. He also heads up A&R for Hope Recordings and runs The Soundgarden as a label releasing melodic and progressive house from artists like Luka Sambe, Modd, and Nicolas Rada. Hernán Cattaneo is a frequent collaborator in the live space, and Warren's connection to Buenos Aires runs deep enough that he named one of his solo tracks after the city.
