Parcels are a five piece from Byron Bay, Australia who packed up and moved to Berlin in 2014, and that restless energy runs straight through their sound: a slippery mix of disco, electropop, and nu disco that feels equally at home in a club or on a late night drive. Their biggest career moment came when Daft Punk caught one of their Paris shows and invited them into the studio, eventually co writing and producing the single "Overnight" in 2017. That track turned out to be the last song Daft Punk ever made together, which gives it a certain weight. Signed to French label Kitsuné, the band dropped their self titled debut album in 2018, a record built around singles like "Tieduprightnow" and "Bemyself". They deliberately left "Overnight" off the album, feeling it belonged to a different chapter entirely. Their sound is rooted in live instrumentation but shaped by electronics, and they describe themselves as a blend of electropop and disco soul.
