Jessie Ware built her reputation on a sound that sits somewhere between soul, electronic pop and disco, and her catalogue keeps shifting in ways that keep things interesting. Her 2012 debut Devotion went top five in the UK and introduced the brooding, sleek "Wildest Moments", earning a Mercury Prize nomination in the process. She followed that with Tough Love in 2014, a record that drew comparisons to Prince at his most minimal, with Ed Sheeran co writing "Say You Love Me" and production from Benny Blanco and Two Inch Punch under their BenZel alias. The real turning point came with What's Your Pleasure? in 2020, a full pivot into disco territory that hit number three in the UK and was met with widespread critical enthusiasm. Her fifth album, That! Feels Good!, landed in 2023 and matched that chart position, also making a dent in the US album sales chart. Away from music, she co hosts the podcast Table Manners with her mother, a warmly regarded show about food, family and conversation.
