About
Pierce Brothers are twin brothers Jack and Pat Pierce, who got their start busking on the streets of Melbourne before working their way up to major festival stages like Pinkpop. Don't let the dreadlocks and acoustic guitars fool you: their live shows are anything but laid back, and that relentless energy is probably the thing people talk about most. Musically they sit somewhere in the neighbourhood of Mumford and Sons, rooted in folk but with a restless, raw quality that makes sense when you know their busking background. They have serious range too, once covering Uptown Funk on a didgeridoo for Dutch radio station 3FM. Their album Moonrise carries that same roughed up live spirit into carefully crafted, storytelling folk tracks.
