About
Sekou is a British Ivorian singer from Leicestershire with a rich, bottom heavy baritone that sounds well beyond his years. Signed to Good Soldier Records at just 16 after clips on TikTok and SoundCloud caught the right ears, he was then personally handpicked by Arlo Parks to play the BBC Music Introducing tent at Glastonbury in 2022. That same year he supported John Legend on tour, and performed at the wedding of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz. His debut EP Out of Mind arrived in 2023, co written with collaborators including Dixson, Sounwave and Al Shux, and singles like "Better Man" and "Time Will Tell" followed shortly after. A BRIT Award nomination for Rising Star in 2024 confirmed the buzz, and he also sang the theme for the BBC One drama This Town, created by Steven Knight.
