About
The Belair Lip Bombs made a serious statement when they became the first Australian act signed to Nashville's legendary Third Man Records in 2024, and their second album Again is the record that backs it up. The Frankston garage rock outfit, fronted by Maisie Everett, worked with producers Nao Anzai and Joe White for the first time, stepping outside their self recorded comfort zone and landing somewhere more expansive. One track even builds entirely around a synth loop, a first for the band. Critics took notice fast: Uncut named it Album of the Month, NME said the group sound like they're auditioning to be the biggest band in the world, and Clash reckoned it clears the difficult second album hurdle with ease. With AIR Award nominations for Independent Album of the Year and Best Independent Rock Album or EP, the Lip Bombs are clearly not flying under the radar anymore.
