About
Anna Fedorova has built a serious international reputation on a playing style that critics describe as combining sweet modesty with wild expression, a mix that tends to leave audiences genuinely startled. The Ukrainian Dutch pianist is especially associated with the Romantic repertoire, pouring herself into Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin and Rachmaninoff. Her performance of Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam went viral on YouTube and introduced her to millions of listeners worldwide, and she has now performed at that hall more than thirty times. Fedorova works across solo recitals, chamber music and full orchestral settings, and has appeared with ensembles including the Philharmonia Orchestra, the BBC Symphony, the Dallas Symphony and the Hong Kong Philharmonic. She has won top prizes at competitions in Estonia, Poland, Georgia and beyond, and in 2017 she took on the role of artistic director of the International Chamber Music Festival in Ede, Netherlands. She holds the David Young Piano Prize alongside a Soiree d'Or Award and Keyboard Trust support.
