About
Also known as: ブルーズ・ピルズ
Blues Pills built their reputation on a sound that pulls from the deepest corners of blues rock and psychedelic rock, with soul and hard rock thrown in for good measure. The Swedish band coalesced around vocalist Elin Larsson, whose raw, powerful voice quickly became their most defining feature. Their self titled debut climbed to number four in Germany and cracked the Swiss top ten, a serious result for a band working in a genre that rarely courts mainstream attention. That album was followed by Lady in Gold in 2016, a ten track record released through Nuclear Blast, and a live album capturing their Paris show. After guitarist Dorian Sorriaux departed in 2018, the band regrouped with Zack Anderson shifting to guitar and new bassist Kristoffer Schander coming aboard. Their third studio album Holy Moly! landed in 2020, and they kept the momentum going with Birthday, released through BMG in August 2024.
