About
Cardinal Black is a blues rock trio from Wales that has built its name the hard way, through relentless gigging rather than hype. Their shows have sold out the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London, the Gramercy Theatre in New York and the Troubadour in Los Angeles, and they have also played the Royal Albert Hall alongside Peter Frampton. Their album Second Sign of Life came out on Thirty Tigers and was a back to basics affair. The band produced it themselves and recorded it at Clouds Hill Studio in Hamburg, squeezing sessions in between European tour dates. The idea was to capture the instinctive chemistry of a group shaped by thousands of miles on the road and a long run of shared stages.
