With more than 15 million albums sold worldwide and eight Billboard Jazz Albums chart toppers, Diana Krall is comfortably one of the biggest names jazz has produced in the last few decades. The Canadian pianist and singer, originally from Nanaimo, British Columbia, has a smoky contralto that suits everything from bossa nova to classic American songbook standards. Billboard placed her second on their list of the greatest jazz artists of the 2000s, and she has backed that up with two Grammy Awards and eight Juno Awards across a catalogue that ranges from intimate piano trio records to full orchestral productions. Her most celebrated albums include The Look of Love, which cracked the top 10 of the Billboard 200, and Live in Paris, which brought her voice to an even wider audience. She produced Barbra Streisand's Love Is the Answer in 2009 and collaborated with Ray Charles, Paul McCartney and Tony Bennett at various points in her career. Her 2015 album Wallflower saw her take on songs by the Eagles, Elton John, Neil Finn and Bob Dylan, while Turn Up the Quiet from 2017 earned her another Juno for vocal jazz album of the year.
