About
Fear Factory built their name on a sound that fused machine tight industrial metal with Burton C. Bell's pioneering mix of death growls and clean melodic vocals, a combination that helped define an entire generation of heavy music. Formed in Los Angeles in 1989, they broke through with Demanufacture in 1995 and Obsolete in 1998, two albums that cemented their reputation as one of the most distinct heavy acts of that era. The band sold over a million records in the US alone and played Ozzfest four times along the way. The road since then has been anything but smooth, with lineup changes, legal disputes, breakups and reunions becoming almost as much a part of the Fear Factory story as the music itself. Bell departed in 2020 after more than three decades, leaving guitarist Dino Cazares as the sole original member still standing. The current lineup features Cazares alongside vocalist Milo Silvestro, bassist Tony Campos and drummer Pete Webber, and the band continues to push forward with ten studio albums behind them.
