About
Gökhan Türkmen built his name in Turkish pop on the strength of a single song. 'Büyük İnsan', written by Serkan Söylemez, was the breakthrough that led to his debut album of the same name in 2008, complete with music videos for several tracks. His second album, Biraz Ayrılık, landed in 2010 and earned serious radio and television play, with songs like 'Rüya' and 'Ayıp Ettin' becoming fan favourites. Since then he has kept a steady pace, releasing the EP Ara, the album En Baştan with its well known track 'Çatı Katı', and a string of collaborations with artists including Nil Rona, Şanışer and Ceylan Ertem. He has also stepped into the spotlight as a judge on the FOX talent show Sesi Çok Güzel, alongside Sibel Can and Sertab Erener. His discography now runs to seven studio albums, with the single 'Mahşer' arriving in 2022.
