Jacob Banks, the Nigerian born Birmingham singer signed to Interscope Records, works somewhere between soul, R&B and hip hop, and his voice has a weight to it that tends to stop people in their tracks. His track "Unknown" went viral after appearing in the season 3 finale of Power, and that attention pulled "Monster" into season 4 as well. His songs have shown up everywhere from the Game of Thrones soundtrack to FIFA 15 and FIFA 19, Dirt 4, and films like The Equalizer 2, for which he wrote and performed "In The Name of Love". His 2018 album Village hit number 1 on Spotify's new and upcoming albums chart. He has collaborated with Chase and Status, Wretch 32, Plan B and Seeb, whose track "What Do You Love" featuring Banks reached number 2 on the Norwegian singles chart.
