About
Jehnny Beth has a rare gift for making intensity feel personal. Born Camille Berthomier, she first built a following in Europe as half of the indie rock duo John & Jehn, then went global as the frontwoman of London post punk band Savages, whose debut album Silence Yourself hit the UK top 20 and earned a Mercury Prize nomination. A second Mercury nod followed for Adore Life in 2016. Her 2020 solo debut To Love Is to Live drew widespread critical praise and featured collaborators including Joe Talbot of Idles, Atticus Ross and Romy Madley Croft of the xx. She also recorded the Gorillaz single We Got the Power alongside Noel Gallagher, and in 2021 released Utopian Ashes, a duet album with Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream that scored an average of 80 on Metacritic. Her second solo album You Heartbreaker, You followed in 2025 via Fiction Records. On top of all that, she is a working actress with a Cesar Award nomination to her name for the 2018 film An Impossible Love.
