About
Jonathan Jeremiah is a British singer songwriter from North London whose deep baritone voice sits somewhere between soul and folk, with shades of Scott Walker and James Taylor woven through his sound. His 2011 debut, A Solitary Man, came out on Island Records and broke through in the Netherlands and Belgium well before his home country took notice. The singles Happiness and Heart of Stone got serious radio play there, and the album charted at number three in the Netherlands. For his follow up, Gold Dust, he teamed up with the Metropole Orkest, the Netherlands based ensemble, giving the record a richer orchestral feel. He kept going from there, releasing Oh Desire in 2015 on Universal Music and then Good Day in 2018, his fourth studio album. Five albums in, he remains one of those artists whose voice does most of the heavy lifting, and it never really gets old.
