Jon Allen's gravelly, whisky soaked voice is the kind that stops you mid scroll, and it's been turning heads since his song 'Going Home' landed on a worldwide Land Rover TV campaign back in 2008. His debut album Dead Man's Suit followed in 2009, earning him a spot on Later with Jools Holland and kicking off a run of sync placements that's hard to match for an independent artist: tracks in Homeland, Safe Haven, Bones, and a Nicolas Cage film, among others. Drawing on Free, The Faces, Van Morrison and Elton John, Allen has carved out a sound that loves American roots music but stays unmistakably British. Six albums deep and past 30 million Spotify streams, he tours regularly with his band The Luna Kings. He also co produced one of the best known cover versions of Duffy's Mercy as part of northern soul production team The Third Degree. His seventh album Seven Dials arrived in 2025, the same year he signed with publisher Warner Chappell.
