About
Julianna Riolino has carved out her own lane in Canadian alternative country, balancing years of work as a backing vocalist for Daniel Romano's Outfit with a steadily growing solo catalogue. Her full length debut All Blue arrived in 2022, and her follow up Echo in the Dust came out in 2025, earning a longlisting for the Polaris Music Prize. The song Seed from that record was also longlisted for the SOCAN Polaris Song Prize, a nice double nod for one release. A deluxe version of Echo in the Dust followed with three extra tracks from the original sessions, giving fans a bit more to sit with. Based in Welland, Ontario, she brings a quiet intensity to her songwriting that feels earned rather than performed.
