About
Kalben is a Turkish singer songwriter from İskenderun whose voice sits somewhere between folk intimacy and contemporary pop, and she has built a devoted following through her deeply personal songwriting. Her "Sadece" video, recorded for Sofar Sounds in 2014, spread widely before she had even released a proper album, which says a lot about the pull of her work. Her self titled debut dropped in 2016 and she has kept a steady pace since, releasing five studio albums through 2022, including Kalp Hanım and Eski Dünyanın Yangını, plus collaborations with artists like Cem Adrian and Teoman. Recent singles such as "Rüzgar" and "Yara" show she is still very much in motion, with more music appearing in 2025.
