About
Also known as: Kravitz Lenny, Kravitz, Lenny, L. Kravitz, Lanny Kravitz, Lenny Kravits, Lenny Krawitz, Leonard Albert Kravitz
Few artists have blended rock, funk, soul, reggae, and R&B as seamlessly as Lenny Kravitz, who burst onto the scene in 1989 with his debut album Let Love Rule. He went on to rack up some genuinely massive hits, from the relentless guitar stomp of "Are You Gonna Go My Way" to the smooth groove of "Fly Away" and the soulful "It Ain't Over 'til It's Over". His run at the Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance is the stuff of record books: four consecutive wins from 1999 to 2002, a streak no other male performer has matched in a single category. Beyond the music, Kravitz has kept himself busy with acting roles in films like Precious and the first two Hunger Games installments, and he runs his own creative studio, Kravitz Design Inc. More recently he has been putting out new material, with the video for "TK421" dropping in late 2023, showing he still has plenty left to say.
