Less Than Jake have been flying the ska punk flag out of Gainesville, Florida since 1992, building a reputation on trombone and saxophone laced punk with enough energy to make Warped Tour a second home. Their fifth album Anthem was their commercial peak, landing in the Billboard 200 and spinning off the singles "She's Gonna Break Soon" and "The Science of Selling Yourself Short". They also founded their own label, Sleep It Off Records, in 2008, giving them the freedom to release things on their own terms. The band weathered a big lineup change when founding drummer and lyricist Vinnie Fiorello departed after 2017's Sound the Alarm EP, with former Teen Idols drummer Matt Yonker stepping in for the ninth studio album Silver Linings in 2020. Most recently they put out Uncharted, a seven song EP from 2024 produced by Bill Stevenson of Descendents and Black Flag, and they are still packing out festival stages. Oh, and yes, the Pez dispenser obsession is very real.
