About
Under his best known alias Maceo Plex, American DJ and producer Eric Estornel has built a reputation for blending house, techno, electro and tech house into sets and records that refuse to sit in one lane. He has spent years as a fixture in Ibiza's biggest rooms, including Space and Amnesia, and since 2016 has run his own club night, Mosaic by Maceo, at Pacha every summer. His 2017 album Solar, named after his son, pushed into ambient electronica and breakbeats with guest vocalists, while 2019's Mutant Series on Ellum Audio leaned harder into raw electronic territory. He also operates under the aliases Maetrik and Mariel Ito, and his fabric98 mix drew on all three personas to trace his twenty year journey across genres. In 2021 he turned his hand to remixing Faithless's classic Insomnia.
