Marina Sena put herself on the map with her 2021 debut solo album De Primeira, a record that earned her three Multishow Brazilian Music Awards and a pair of Latin Grammy nominations, including one for Best Portuguese Language Song for "Por Supuesto". The Minas Gerais singer had already done serious work before that, fronting band A Outra Banda da Lua and co founding the pop group Rosa Neon, but De Primeira made clear she was a singular force on her own. Signed to Sony Music Brazil, she followed up in 2023 with Vício Inerente, then pushed further with her third album Coisas Naturais, released in early 2025. That record pulls from bossa nova, piseiro, reggae and pop rock, making it her most genre spanning work yet. All tracks landed in Brazil's Spotify top 100 on day one, and the album quickly went gold. The lead single "Numa Ilha" even got a shoutout in the New York Times as one of the week's best releases.
