About
Massimiliano Pagliara is a DJ and producer from Tricase in southern Italy who has made Berlin his base for over two decades. His sound moves fluidly across Chicago house, Italo disco, Detroit techno, and ambient territory, built largely on analog hardware from the 1970s and 80s. He holds long standing residencies at Berghain and Panorama Bar, and his records have come out on respected labels including Ostgut Ton, Live at Robert Johnson, and Permanent Vacation. Before any of that, he was a dancer and choreographer, and that background in movement and theatricality still shapes how his tracks are constructed. He founded his own imprint, Funnuvojere Records, in 2019, naming it after a beach in Salento. His LP See You In Paradise came out on Permanent Vacation in 2022, and he has since released a new EP called Hooking Up, with a 20 year retrospective anthology in the works.
