Megan Moroney put Georgia country on the map with "Tennessee Orange", a breezy track produced by Kristian Bush that crept onto the Billboard Hot 100 before she even had a major label deal. Sony came calling soon after, and her debut album Lucky landed in May 2023, cracking the Billboard 200 top 40. Rolling Stone called it the best country and American album of that year, praising her casual, youth conversant tone. She writes and co writes everything herself, which gives her records a sharp personal edge that sets her apart from the polished Nashville pack. Her second album Am I Okay?, released in July 2024, went straight to number nine on the Billboard 200, with the title track and "No Caller ID" both charting on the Hot 100. She followed that up with a Christmas EP and a collaboration with Old Dominion called "Can't Break Up Now". Then in early 2026, her third album Cloud 9 debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, her first chart topper at that level.
