MNEK is the stage name of Uzoechi Emenike, a British singer, songwriter and producer from Lewisham whose fingerprints are all over contemporary pop. His writing and production credits read like a who's who of the last decade: Beyoncé, Madonna, Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue, Zara Larsson, Little Mix, Clean Bandit, Selena Gomez and Kylie Minogue are just a handful of the names he has shaped. He has been nominated for two Grammy Awards and a Brit Award, and picked up the ASCAP Vanguard Award along the way. His own solo work sits firmly in dance and electropop territory. The 2015 collab with Zara Larsson, "Never Forget You", became a genuine crossover hit, hitting number one on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Songs chart for three consecutive weeks and going platinum in multiple countries. His debut album Language arrived in 2018, previewed by the single "Tongue". He has also been vocal about creating safe spaces for LGBT songwriters, hosting a dedicated camp with Pride in Music in 2019. More recently he teamed up with Sigala on "Radio" in 2023.
