Panic Shack hit No.1 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart with their self titled debut album in 2025, a pretty striking arrival for a Cardiff five piece who only put out their first singles back in 2020. Sarah Harvey fronts the band, with Meg Fretwell and Romi Lawrence on guitars, Emily Smith on bass, and Nick Doherty Williams on drums. Their sound sits in indie rock and punk rock territory, and they've built their following the old fashioned way: gigging hard across the UK. Before the album, their 2022 debut EP Baby Shack on Brace Yourself Records crept into the UK Albums Sales Chart at No.92, which is no small thing for an EP. By 2023 they were headlining their own tour across 13 venues in the UK. The full length debut then landed at No.32 on the UK Albums Chart, confirming that Panic Shack are very much a band worth paying attention to.
