About
Sarah Julia is a duo of two sisters who make layered indie folk built around intimacy and personal storytelling. Their harmonies feel warm and close, and their lyrics read like diary entries circling themes of love, loss and family. The songwriting draws on their shared experiences, turning pain and frustration into something that connects rather than distances. Their second EP, Only Making It Worse, deepens both their sound and their subject matter. Compared to their debut EP, which grew out of a period of grief and change, the follow up brings in subtle pop influences and a richer, more textured arrangement style. There is room in their songs for both sorrow and comfort, often sitting side by side.
