About
Belgian four piece SONS blend garage rock and modern indie rock into something that hits hard and pulls you in at the same time. They built their reputation on relentlessly intense live shows, stacking riffs onto big choruses and never taking a step back. Two albums, Family Dinner and Sweet Boy, established them firmly across the Benelux and beyond, earning them spots at Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop and support slots with Royal Blood and Jack White. On their third record Hallo, SONS shift the dial a little. The ragged edges and raw energy are still there, but the songwriting reaches toward more introspection and melody, with the amps tuned just slightly differently. It's a focused record rather than a blunt force one, though it never really softens the blow.
