About
South Summit came together in Perth in 2020 and wasted little time building a reputation for restless, genre curious rock. Three EPs arrived before their debut album, each one a deliberate step forward. For Tales of the Yeti, guitarist Nehemiah Reuben described a process of open jamming with no strict rules on style, and that freewheeling spirit shows in their sound. Signing with Lemon Tree Music in 2024 set the stage for their full length debut The Bliss, which landed in November 2024 and debuted at number 25 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The five piece, rounded out by Isaiah Reuben on lead vocals, Fynn Samorali on lead guitar, Josh Trindall on bass, and Nathan Osborne on drums, blend alternative and surf rock in ways that feel genuinely spontaneous rather than calculated.
