Stu Larsen is an Australian singer songwriter from Dalby who has spent years living without a fixed address, perpetually on the road in the truest troubadour tradition. His sound draws natural comparisons to Passenger, and that connection runs deeper than just style: Passenger produced Larsen's debut album Vagabond, released in 2014. A more intimate revisit of that record, The Vagabond Demos, arrived later and showcases the raw, stripped back versions of those early songs. Larsen's restless approach to life fed directly into one of his more ambitious creative projects, titled Solitude. Each month he travelled to a different location somewhere in the world, sought out solitude, wrote a song in that setting, and shared the result on YouTube. It is the kind of concept that feels entirely in keeping with someone who treats the whole planet as home base.
