Temptations For The Weak, hailing from Antwerp, Belgium, deal in a modern mix of thrash metal and metalcore: heavy riffing, moshpit ready grooves, and vocals that swing between melodic and outright aggressive. Bands like Machine Head, Trivium, Sylosis and Killswitch Engage are clearly in the DNA, though the group holds firmly to its own sound rather than just channelling its influences. Their fourth full length album, The Venom Inside, was produced by Scott Atkins, who has worked with the likes of Sylosis, Machine Head, Behemoth and Cradle of Filth. The ten tracks each carry a distinct character, featuring technically impressive solos alongside catchy, groove driven riffing. A notable moment on the record is a guest vocal appearance by Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage on the track Crossroads.
