A 2017 clip of Tiffany Day singing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" into a well in Italy went viral on Twitter and basically launched her career. From there, the Toronto born, Los Angeles based singer and songwriter built up a following through YouTube and TikTok, releasing a string of self produced EPs including the four part college series that ran from 2021 to 2023. Her music started out in bedroom pop and indie pop territory before shifting into a more hyperpop direction around 2025. Her debut album Lover Tofu Fruit arrived in 2024, a personal record shaped by grief, journaling, and working through nihilist thoughts. She followed it up with Halo in 2026, her first release through Broke Records, preceded by a run of singles including "Pretty4U", "American Girl" and "Everything I've Ever Wanted". The Fader has described her sound as "anxiety ridden, strobe lit pop music", which honestly captures it pretty well.
