About
Amber Run are a three piece indie rock band from Nottingham whose knack for emotionally raw songwriting has quietly built them a devoted following. Their breakthrough moment came early: a BBC Introducing slot at Reading Festival in 2013, only their fourth ever show, was enough to land them a deal with RCA. The song "I Found" from their debut era became something of a sleeper hit, the kind of track that spreads by word of mouth rather than radio push. Over the years they have kept restless, moving through three full length albums, multiple EPs, and an ambitious trilogy of mini albums released across 2021 and 2022. That trilogy, The Search, The Start, and The Hurt, fed into their fourth album How to Be Human in 2023. The Harvard Crimson described their world as "bittersweet and anything but linear", which feels about right for a band that has always cared more about honest emotional texture than chasing a trend.
