The singles "Fall in Love", "Rock and a Hard Place", "Religiously", and "Where It Ends" all climbed to the top, and "Rock and a Hard Place" broke the Billboard Hot 100 record for the longest climb to the top 10 by a soloist. His raspy vocals and fusion of country and rock set him apart in the contemporary country space. Zimmerman's rise started on TikTok, where a snippet of "Never Comin' Home" racked up over a million views in five hours back in 2020, sending him on a path from pipeline worker to Warner Music Nashville signee. His second album, Different Night Same Rodeo, arrived in 2025 and continued the momentum, featuring a collaboration with Luke Combs on "Backup Plan" that became his fifth number one on the Canada Country chart.
