Courtney Barnett built her reputation on a deadpan delivery and lyrics that wander through the mundane with sharp, unexpected wit. The Sydney born singer and guitarist first caught international ears with 'Avant Gardener', a track from her 2013 compilation The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas, which Pitchfork named Best New Track and Q Magazine made Track of the Day. Her debut album Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit followed in 2015, winning four ARIA Awards and earning her a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. She teamed up with Kurt Vile for the collaborative record Lotta Sea Lice in 2017, then returned to solo work with Tell Me How You Really Feel in 2018. Things Take Time, Take Time arrived in late 2021, keeping her run of critically well received records going strong.
