Danko Jones built their reputation the old fashioned way: by playing live relentlessly and letting word of mouth do the work. The Toronto hard rock trio, fronted by vocalist and guitarist Danko Jones, have been grinding stages across North America, Europe, Australia and Japan since 1996, earning a serious reputation as one of the most electrifying live acts in rock. Their sound mixes hard rock with a heavy dose of punk energy, and that combination has kept them a favourite on the European festival circuit, from Download to Roskilde to Rock Am Ring. Over eleven studio albums, the band has never strayed far from what they do best: loud, direct, no fuss rock. Early records like Born a Lion and We Sweat Blood set the template, while Never Too Loud produced the international hit Code Of The Road. They have shared stages with acts ranging from The Rolling Stones to Motörhead, and have racked up six Juno Award nominations along the way. Their 2021 video for I Want Out shows the band still very much in the game.
