About
Also known as: KimDraculaVEVO
Kim Dracula is an Australian singer, rapper and producer from Hobart who treats genre boundaries as purely optional. The sound pulls together trap metal, metalcore, industrial, bossa nova and opera, often shifting styles within a single track, all wrapped in a theatrical sense of drama. A metal cover of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi went viral on TikTok in 2020 and has since racked up over 162 million streams on Spotify, which is a pretty remarkable launchpad for someone operating this far outside the mainstream. The debut album A Gradual Decline In Morale is a feverish, nightmarish ride that lurches from one sonic world to the next every few bars. On the track Seventy Thorns, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis shows up as a guest, and it turns out his voice fits the chaotic universe Kim Dracula has built surprisingly naturally.
