Mýa carved out her place in late 90s R&B with a run of hits that few artists could match. Her debut single 'It's All About Me' with Sisqó cracked the Billboard Hot 100 top ten, and she quickly followed that up with 'Ghetto Supastar' alongside Pras and Ol' Dirty Bastard. Her second album Fear of Flying went platinum and produced 'Case of the Ex', which climbed to number two on the Hot 100. Then came the big one: her contribution to the 'Lady Marmalade' supergroup with Christina Aguilera, Pink and Lil' Kim hit number one and won a Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals. Since then Mýa has kept moving on her own terms. She launched her own label, Planet 9, and has released a string of albums and EPs with full creative control, including Smoove Jones in 2016, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album. She has also kept a foot in acting, with film roles in Chicago, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights and a runner up finish on Dancing with the Stars. Twenty million records sold worldwide and she is still doing it herself.
