About
PRESIDENT burst onto the metal scene in early 2025 with zero music released and zero explanation, announced out of nowhere as a Download Festival act. The mystery ran deep: an anonymous English metal band with a masked, silver haired frontman whose eerie, wax figure face sparked endless speculation about who was behind it. Fans noticed ties to masked act Sleep Token and iconographic similarities to Crosses, which only added fuel to the fire. Their debut EP King of Terrors, self produced and independently released, proved the band could back up the intrigue with actual songs, blending alternative metal with electronica in a way that earned them BBC Radio 1's Tune of the Week and a Rock Sound cover. Signing to Atlantic Records in early 2026, they followed up with their debut album Blood of Your Empire, and their North American headline run sold out 22 of 26 dates within 24 hours. For a band that nobody had heard of just months before, that trajectory is pretty hard to ignore.
