Scouting for Girls built their reputation the old fashioned way, gigging relentlessly around the UK before their self titled debut album hit number one on the UK Albums Chart in 2008 and eventually crossed a million copies sold. The name is a cheeky riff on the 1908 scouting handbook Scouting for Boys, and that playful energy runs through their piano driven indie pop sound. The London trio of Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and James Rowlands racked up eight top 40 singles and over four billion global streams across their career, and received four Brit Award nominations along the way. Their second album, Everybody Wants to Be on TV, gave them a chart topper with 'This Ain't a Love Song', which landed the Easter number one spot in 2010. They have kept at it ever since, releasing a string of further albums including Still Thinking About You, The Trouble With Boys and Easy Cover, with their most recent studio record, The Place We Used to Meet, arriving in October 2023.
