Tarrus Riley has spent two decades carving out a serious reputation in reggae, and his voice is unmistakable across the genre. Born in the Bronx but raised in Jamaica, he carries both worlds in his sound. His 2004 debut Challenges set things in motion, but it was 'She's Royal' that cemented his name, winning him the CVM TV award for Most Admired Song in the Past 15 Years. His 2014 album Love Situation, made with saxophonist and producer Dean Fraser, was a heartfelt nod to the rocksteady era and landed him his first number one on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. He also popped up on Major Lazer's 'Powerful' alongside Ellie Goulding, and his 2020 collaboration with Rvssian and Shenseea on 'Lighter' became one of his biggest Caribbean hits yet.
