About
Named after the London district where Jack the Ripper operated, Whitechapel are an American deathcore band with roughly two decades of activity behind them. Their ninth album, Hymns In Dissonance, is widely regarded as a career highlight, with guitarist Alex Wade stating that the band set out to make their heaviest record yet. Tracks like Prisoner 666, A Visceral Retch and the title track make a strong case that they pulled it off. Heavy, brutal and unrelenting, Whitechapel have built a reputation for pushing the extremes of the deathcore genre across a catalogue that keeps getting more intense.
