About
Also known as: Abbey Smith, Abigail Elizabeth Smith
Yebba, born Abigail Smith in West Memphis, grew up surrounded by gospel music in her father's church, and that spiritual foundation runs through everything she makes. Long before releasing her own album, she had already built a reputation as a vocalist who could elevate any genre, with collaborations alongside Drake, Ed Sheeran, and Stormzy, plus a Grammy Award earned through her work with PJ Morton on 'How Deep Is Your Love'. Her debut album 'Dawn', produced by Mark Ronson with contributions from Questlove and Pino Palladino, channelled major personal loss into music that felt both raw and consoling. Her second album 'Jean', a tribute to her late grandmother, was self produced together with John Rooney and came out of a five year creative journey across Arkansas, Dallas, and New York. It centres on themes of forgiveness and self healing, while keeping the gospel conviction that has defined her voice from the start.
