Tori Kelly built her fanbase the hard way, racking up millions of YouTube subscribers with acoustic covers and original songs before any label came calling. When Capitol Records signed her in 2013, her EP Foreword debuted at number 16 on the Billboard 200, and her debut album Unbreakable Smile followed in 2015, peaking at number two and landing three singles on the Billboard Hot 100, including "Nobody Love" and "Should've Been Us". She also contributed the song "Silent" to the soundtrack of The Giver film that same period. Kelly's range goes well beyond polished pop. Her 2018 album Hiding Place leaned fully into gospel and soul, winning her two Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance/Song. She has since released Inspired by True Events and a Christmas record, and beyond music she voices Meena in the Sing animated films. Three Grammys, a BET Award, and two Billboard Music Awards sit on her shelf.
