Gavin James, born Gavin Wigglesworth in Dublin, Ireland, makes warm, heartfelt pop as a singer songwriter who has built a devoted following through genuinely affecting songwriting. His cover of The Magnetic Fields' "The Book of Love" helped put him on the map when he signed to Capitol Records in early 2015, and tracks like "For You" and "Nervous (The Ooh Song)" showed his knack for melodies that stick around long after the song ends. He got his first real taste of attention with his debut EP "Say Hello", released through Believe Recordings in late 2012, with the title track winning Song of the Year at the Meteor Choice Awards 2013. His live album recorded at Whelans in Dublin captured the stripped back, acoustic side of his work, mixing originals with covers. More recently he has been releasing material including "Always", recorded live at Abbey Road Studios.
