Jackson Dean's "Don't Come Lookin'" is the kind of song that makes country radio sit up straight. The Maryland native signed to Big Machine Records in 2021 and dropped his debut album Greenbroke in 2022, with that lead single climbing all the way to number three on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. It even landed a spot on Yellowstone, which is basically a country artist's stamp of approval these days. Before any of that, he was cutting his teeth opening for Kane Brown, Jake Owen, and Brothers Osborne, and writing with seasoned Nashville hands like Casey Beathard and Luke Dick. His second album, On the Back of My Dreams, arrived in September 2024, led by the single "Heavens to Betsy". The earlier single "Fearless (The Echo)" had already shown his staying power, peaking at number 11 on Country Airplay in 2024. Dean writes and performs with a gritty sincerity that fits comfortably in the traditional end of modern country.
