About
Also known as: Jayda Guy
Jayda G wears a lot of hats, and none of them feel forced. The Canadian DJ and house music producer earned a Grammy nomination at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards for her track "Both of Us", and she has remixed Dua Lipa's "Cool" for the Club Future Nostalgia project. Her debut album Significant Changes landed in 2019, followed by DJ Kicks in 2021 and Guy in 2023, each one building on her reputation for warm, soulful house with genuine depth. What sets her apart is how seriously she takes the world beyond the booth. She holds a master's degree in Resource and Environmental Management specialising in environmental toxicology, and in 2023 she turned that passion into Blue Carbon, a 60 minute documentary made with CNN Films and Conservation International about the role of sea grasses and mangroves in protecting coastlines and communities. Based in London after years in Berlin and Vancouver, she bridges underground dance music and environmental advocacy without making either feel like a side project.
