About
Kojey Radical blends grime, alternative rap and spoken word into something that feels genuinely singular, the kind of music that treats personal emotion and political thought as inseparable. The London artist born Kwadwo Adu Genfi Amponsah built his reputation through a string of EPs that got sharper with each release, from the family and diaspora themes of 23Winters to the raw, five star emotional depth of Cashmere Tears. His debut album Reason to Smile landed in 2022, earned a Mercury Prize shortlist and picked up multiple MOBO nominations including Best Hip Hop Act. Along the way he has collaborated with Mahalia on the FIFA 19 soundtrack track "Water", worked with Michaela Coel, Ghetts and Obongjayar on the In Gods Body EP, and teamed up with MJ Cole on "Soak It Up". His second studio album Don't Look Down arrived in 2025, preceded by the single "Rule One" with Bawo, his first new music in three years.
