About
Lamb are a duo from Manchester who built their reputation on a sound that blurs the lines between trip hop, drum and bass, and something altogether more atmospheric and intimate. Producer Andy Barlow and vocalist Louise Rhodes formed the group in 1994, and their earliest single Cotton Wool gave them an almost immediate foothold. Songs like Gorecki and Gabriel became their best known tracks, with Gorecki drawing directly from the Third Symphony of Polish composer Henryk Górecki. After splitting in 2004, the two eventually returned, releasing their fifth album simply titled 5 in 2011 and following it up with Backspace Unwind in 2014. Lamb have played Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop, and their live shows have always been a core part of what makes them worth catching.
